One of the easiest ways to tell that you are in need of a new mattress is the fact that it is sagging. Over time, springs will break down and foam will become softer and softer. Sagging is generally seen as a large divot or crater in the middle of the bed. However, even smaller sags that are only a few inches shouldn’t be ignored.

Not only is a mattress that is sagging very uncomfortable, but it doesn’t offer you a lot of support. You may not always notice sagging when your blankets and sheets are all over the bed, so be sure to examine the mattress when changing sheets to ensure there is no sagging present.

Over time, mattresses will begin to collect a variety of different allergens that range from dust mites to mildew. You may not notice immediately, but eventually, your allergies will become worse. For your next mattress, you could even consider something hypoallergenic.

In conclusion, these are just a few of the many signs that you should begin the search for a new mattress. You will surely sleep better, which will help you lead a much more productive life.
